Description
Roofing slate was mined in Pennsylvania and transported to the Southern States down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers on rafts. This piece of barn roof slate, dates back to the 1800’s, and it was repurposed, off of an old barn in Maryland.
The barn roofing slate is hand painted as a “WELCOME” sign with a jolly old snowman holding a broom. Six baby blue, snow flakes over lay the snowman painting, below them. Holes exist in the slate from old nails. The holes were filled with a leather strap, which is used to hang the painting on the wall or a house. Gloss finish. Measures 14″ tall x 8″ wide. FREE STANDARD SHIPPING WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.
